Erika Bibian, LCSW, PEL, MSW

Hi, my name is Erika! I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Professional Educator License. I obtained my Bachelor's of Social Work degree from Illinois State University in 2018 and my Master's of Social Work degree from Aurora University in 2019. I have had experience working in a foster care agency along with working in a school setting. I am currently and have been a school social worker in a high school setting for 5 years. I have worked closely with individuals with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief and loss, intergenerational trauma, oppositional defiant disorder, self-esteem, self harm, school avoidance, and stress management.

I aim to provide my clients with a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgemental space. I meet my clients where they are at in the therapeutic process, whether it be your first experience with a mental health provider or you have had previous experience. I view my clients as the expert in their lives, and I am there to help guide you through the difficult times life may throw at you. Along with building trusting relationships with my clients, I utilize a variety of evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). I am passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health, especially amongst first-generation individuals. I hope to empower all my clients in achieving their personal goals inside and outside of my office.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and dog Canela. I also enjoy reading books, spending time outdoors, watching shows on Netflix, and going to concerts!
